The FAP Koolaid is pretty good. I don't use the import section much, but what do you mean by "no sign off needed" folder?
Kevin is right that V4 may solve a lot of your problems.
How important is it to you to actually "sign off" these documents. In other words, with a different setup, would simply grabbing the stamped signature from Adobe or using one of the many already made stamps such as Reviewed (which gives the date and time) work? I would think it would.
