Follow up for Bert and Sandeep (and anyone else who cares)
I am now on AC 6.3.3 on SBS Essentials. It has been an interesting journey, since I am not really an IT guy -- but I am living proof that it can be done. There are more parts to this than one might think -- just getting some of the printers to work is a challenge (still struggling with one Brother model), and associated programs like Quest interface and clearinghouse billing software are not always a snap to change over to the server.
The wireless still works just fine in the rooms -- faster than before. Wired is better, but not for patient interface (for me).
The setup seems to be much faster and more responsive than what I was using before. Time will tell if it eliminates the need for occasional server re-booting, network hangups, etc. that were troublesome in P2P; but I am quite hopeful.
Also, I assume that the server board, etc. will prove to be at least as robust and trouble-free as the "consumer grade" stuff I was using before, and which practically never failed.
So far, I am quite happy with this upgrade, and thank you Bert and Sandeep.
