Where exactly are you located in California?

Files that are in PDF, Word or Excel can be directly imported into AC by dragging the file into the IMPORTED ITEM's section of the chart. Reviewing the charts from the imported items section isn't exactly user friendly as you can't "flip" back and forth from your imported item to the notes in your chart. But it's something you get used to.

If you sign something off and you want to send some sort of action plan to your MA, you can attach the chart in a message with what you want done. This can also be documented in the chart that you sent the message.

Signing stuff off in Updox is easy. You can mark up the lab, sign it off. Then send it to someone and file it at the same time. Very easy. I can for example using updox: authorize a faxed refill request (by marking it up and signing it and faxing it back), file it in the patients chart and send an email to the patient notifying them their prescription has been authorized all with one mouse click.
