I know for a fact that this is not true. I have reported this problem, and I was told by tech support agent at that time (months ago) that there had been many reports of the Message Box bug. In addition, a beta tester wrote on the (deceased) Board that AC developers had been told during beta testing for version 10.1 that this bug was noted.
Being caught lying to your customers was one feature of the AC Users Board that they sure won't miss.
