I don't run any other practice management program or database. The only other programs running on the PC are Dragon MPE, Outlook, Updox. I would imagine these should not be overwhelming the system, although I'm not sure I've ever tried running AC with Dragon turned off. If that worked, it would still leave me in a bit of a pinch as far as not being able to dictate.
I think I have pretty much max'd out my memory slots (in pairs), so I agree that a next step might be to hire a programmer to come in person and review things, or just bite the bullet and go to the cloud...
