I don't know what is stupider. The fact that organizations like the VA cannot see that typing or stamping or whatever "Digitally signed by" or "Electronically signed by" makes your sighnature any more valid than a simple signature.
If it didn't take so long, I would write "Written in ink by..."
To show how passive-aggressive I am, and I am being considered for the human gene pool for that gene, when I get a paper asking for a "wet signature," I actually sign it and pour water over it.
Given that different entities want different versions, e.g. digital vs electronic, eventually I will get to "Digitally AND Electronically signed by..."
