Has anyone moved to SQL standard 2022?
Have you noticed the SQL 2025 express now supports 50 Gig?
That would solve my space issue for sure.

Thanks Mike

Hello,

For one thing, Amazing Charts supports only SQL Server 2022 as of the latest version of Amazing Charts. Therefore, SQL Server 2025 is not in consideration. Yes, Microsoft did increase the maximum database size to 50GB for SQL Server 2025 Express, but again, that is not up for discussion as Amazing Charts does not support SQL Server 2025.

As for SQL Server 2022 Standard, there are clients that are using it and it works well. AC supports it. SQL Server 2022 Standard removes the following limitations of Express:

* The database size limit of 10GB is removed.
* RAM limit is raised from 1G to 64G.
* You get the SQL Server Agent.
* 4 CPUs instead of 1.

For clients that find themselves approaching a database size of 10G, even if they were on SQL Server 2025, I would still push for Standard Edition as anyone approaching the 10GB size of a database will have other concerns such as the CPU and RAM limitations.
