For DROIDX
1. Not sure if you are using the X or what version, but YouTube has been available free of charge since v2. I have v2.2 currently.
2. You have three things at play here. They all know certain things. Motorola built the phone, VW knows all things connectivity, CHARGES, and voice mail, plus various other things, and the one I think you are leaving out, Android by Google. It's the OS that you have to know and controls most of the functions. Just as WIN7 has many things in different places than XP, Android is much different than iOS. So, where to get info:
-- first, nothing beats playing with it. Sitting down and going through every setting, turning it on and off to see what happens. The setting button is akin to the right click, e.g. there are so many fields you will be in that if one tries right clicking, they will find new options. But look at the store clerk. She found it in less than two hours.
-- second DroidX for Dummies. I read it cover to cover. It was OK, but it certainly covered the speed dial.
