Verizon has done away with its $10/month data requirement for 3G Feature phones (text messaging phones where most people didn't want to use data anyway). Now it's either a phone or a smartphone.
Verizon also introduced a $15/month 150 MB data plan for the smartphones in addition to the $30/month unlimited.
What is the best Verizon smartphone to get now? Looks like the LG Octane (aka LG eNv4) is the best standard messaging phone.
My understanding is that the best "deal" is to get the unlimited package which will be going away in the next few months. I like the idea that the phone can also be a "hot spot".
