In general I like the phone, the speed, the features. I have
some specific and some general questions to ask if anyone has time.
Does anyone know:
1. If youtube content will be available in the browser in the next upgrade?
2. Where to find information in a concise, timely fashion?-I took my first droidx phone back because I thought the Swype didn't work-it turns out that probably no one I got at Verizon or at the store knew about the setting that allow for autoinsertion of spaces. I spent over 2 hours at the store after getting my new phone the other day with someone talking to Verizon and getting escalated because I thought my speed dial didn't work. It turned out that I didn't know, the person at the store didn't know and 2 hours of people at Verizon and Motorola didn't know that to work speed dial on the DroidX you don't push the number and then the phone image, you hold the number down till it dials. The clerk figured it out while waiting to get sent further up the food chain.
3. I'm probably one of the few folks who doesn't like word prediction-I FIND IT DISTRACTING, IRRITATING, AND CONDESCENDING. I would love to turn it off on the browser. Will that be possible on the next upgrade (2.3)? I bypass a lot of that my doing most everything from the Google search function with my preferences put in. Unfortunately, unless I stay logged in, it doesn't keep the preference and even then, I sometimes have to reset it. It seems like a security risk to stay logged in.
