I had considered trying to get rid of Updox as it goes down a lot and is overpriced. I am on the cloud and don't have full control of desktop, just the version that's in a window. I looked at ways to disconnect and set up OhMD and a dedicated folder so faxes could be imported to charts like Updox but my office manager and staff told me that it wouldn't be worth it and seemed a bit dicey. And since "Angel Support" is MIA all the time I decided against it. I had sent a letter requesting full functionality but it took them over a week to respond. I told them never mind but I added this paragraph:
Overall I cannot express my frustration with my very expensive "Angel Support" that for 3 seats costs me close to $6,000 a year. When I began with Amazing Charts over 12 years ago, I could call support, chat, email and get instant responses from the first 2. Now there is no chat, no phone support that is timely and even this request took over a week to respond. I believe that either the price should be reduced dramatically or you hire enough people to staff it. Harris admitted at least 6 months ago they were aware of the problem with support and were working on it. There isn't even decent acknowledgement of reception of the support.
AC is still an amazingly easy system to learn, as an MD who's had to introduce it to 3 different nurse practitioners and over 8 staff over the years, it has been relatively simple compared to other EMR software. Changing to the cloud has also been great so I don't have to worry about hardware and the cloud never goes down, at least that I can recall.
Will let you guys know if they respond.
