I have simply never understood Brother. Unless it is a conspiracy between them and Nuance. Why do they import the file as a .tif or whatever but not a pdf. Then, you have to use Paperport to convert them.
I would be on the phone with them daily asking them what they have against pdf. As everyone knows, it has been the industry standard forever. There are very few print drivers which convert to .tif. Almost all software companies make their manuals in pdf. Almost any other hardware fax machine that imports to the desktop does so in pdf.
