Therefore I expect the screen will say select Migration but at that time there is an error saying
AMAZINGCHARTS.XML not found.
You are not going to find the .xml file, because it has not been created yet. Sometimes, the installer will automatically go to migrate. But, if it didn't at that point, all you would need to have done was go into the folder you created and run SQL Migration Utility and browse to your data folder.
