Indy, in your scenario of backing up Imported Items separately than the database, is there any concern if the backups aren't done on the exact same day? Would an older Imported Items file corrupt a newer database?
The only problem is that you might miss imports that were done between the backup date of the imports and the database backup. If you did no backups for that day or week interval they would be the same. If you did 100 imports it would be looking for 100 files it would not find.
Remember that imports are a separate group from the database file, although they are referenced in a field to keep the count accurate. Thus, you can back them up separately as long as it is accurate.
