I could highlight and delete the new med from the med list in the note. But then I found that I could "cut" it out by hightlighting the new med and pressing CTRL X, as if I was then going to paste it in somewhere else, which I don't. It leaves a space in the med list, but that's better than having the med there. So, if I make a mistake and do things out of order, at least I can fix it.
You can also highlight and backspace or hit delete button as well.
