Interesting that you get that message on XP. That's usually for Vista/7.
Have you tried making a second account with administrator permissions?
Registry Error suggests corruption of your current Windows Installation.
Without any more information, I'd try these steps:
1. Try a different user account with admin priveleges
2. Run the system file checker by going to Start>Run>type "sfc /scannow"
3. Reinstall Amazing Charts
4. Reinstall Windows
