Well that is kind of user dependent. But since you are asking in reference to AC, I would have to say I would use the Practice Rolodex.

This servers two purposes. First, it allows you to instantly put the address header in for all letters. But on the main window on the row of icons under the Patient List, you can click the down arrow next to the Practice Rolodex icon and choose Practice Rolodex. The icon is at the far left. Alternatively and more quickly, you just use CTRL + R and it will bring it up.

By entering the first letter of the provider, it will bring you to the list of D's or T's or whatever. From there it is easy to find your consultants.

We use a slightly different method but either way, our rule is that if we have to call them, email them or write them, the name goes in the rolodex. You can build up quite the consult list that way.

For the names and addresses of those you won't be writing letters to, say the name of the secretary of the department chief, you put them under other. This way, when you go to write a letter, you can quickly filter them out.
