This has not been my experience at all. I can hear the fax machine ring in, within a minute comes the thumbnail and then there is my fax. Personally, I have been very pleased with Paperport...especially because it did not cost me anything. It came with my MFC. Check out the licesning for Adobe...that made my decision much easier. As far as Amazon goes, they like many other sites are paid big bucks I am sure by competitors to trash other products.
