A local user wants to run AC on an iPad. He uses AC in the cloud. Anyone have any experience with this?
Any thoughts on the feasibility, utility, etc?

As far as I know, the iPad has no simple or stable Windows emulator. There's a tricky, kinda-sorta, maybe-no-good-with-later-IOS-versions, in-case-of-failure-both-halves-are-yours program: https://www.windowslatest.com/2020/02/22/iphone-ipad-windows-10/But that's more for geeks who like to play with emulators instead of buying a cheap laptop that works. *** An iPad user will probably just run a remote control program and connect to a Windows session that's running AC. The Windows session running AC can be on: 1) a standalone PC (at an office or home) 2) a terminal server session (in the cloud) *** If the user is connecting to a remote desktop session for AC in the cloud, it's a Windows terminal server session. So Apple's free app for Microsoft Remote Desktop for iPad would be worth a look: https://apps.apple.com/mv/app/microsoft-remote-desktop/id714464092*** If the free Apple app works, but has limitations, the not-free Parallels Access remote program might do better: https://www.computerworld.com/article/3074236/now-you-can-run-windows-10-on-an-ipad-pro-android.html#:~:text=Recently%20acquired%20by%20Corel%2C%20the,your%20iPad%20for%20remote%20access. *** There's also the Amazon approach. *** This page covers installing all three remote programs: https://evolvit.co.uk/it-support/remote-hosted-desktop/how-to-run-windows-on-your-ipad/

Jon,
In our office we use a mix of Mac and PC work stations. We also use iPads and iPhones with AC in the cloud via the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection App but primarily for quick tasks, not day-to-day charting. Dictation from the iPad or iPhone to AC is hit-or-miss, usually miss.
Printer functionality other than printing to Updox Printer already embedded in the cloud is non-existent. So, if you want to print a hard copy of a prescription, then you have to print to Updox first and then from Updox to your local printer.
In a pinch, i can send in a prescription (even controlled), print from imported items to Updox and fax, or review from my iPhone.
Hope this helps!
