from personal experience, I'd recommend the TSP800 (with Ethernet) set it up on your network and then any computer you need to print to it from to generate your prescription can access it without issue.
Networking it is helpful. One sits at the reception desk, the other at MA desk. All versions work the same by the way.
It is helpful (for us) to be able to print from any computer. I like to be able to print from any room and have my receptionist go over them and stamp the three scripts. I can then sign them and give them to the patient.
My MA having one is crucial. When she triages ADHD patients, she prints out the scripts and clips them to the chart. I can then walk in, ask how things are and give the scripts to the patient. I don't even log into the computer. And, the entire visit literally takes less than one minute.
Plus, my receptionist (she is an MA) can print scripts that need to be signed for the day.
It is a difficult printer to set up, but not quite as hard as everyone says.
