See you and I are alike. That was actually my first gut feeling. So what do you suggest as an alternative? Are these external SATA drives as fast as an internal? Smaller, mutliple drives, Two big mirrored drives? If I want to do video one day at a semi-pro level (and I do!) then what is the best solution for massive amounts of data like that, that also needs to move quickly so you want speed of access too...
