Hello All,
We have been using EZClaim for about six months. We use the new PREMIER version, rather than the ADVANCED 8. My biller who works for me part-time, is very happy with the program, which is even more important than my happiness with it. She says that it does some things better than E clinical Works, which she uses with some of her other clients. We use ZirMed for our clearinghouse, which is now one of the preferred clearinghouses with EZClaim. We've had no integration issues with AC>EZ>ZirMed.
Once a claim is sent to EZ (the patient gets established in the program), they have a single button which you can click to check eligibility, which apparently does so via the clearinghouse. Slick. Or you can use the ZirMed eligibility checking process to check eligibility on a patient who has not yet been seen, but that requires entering the patient's information into ZirMed.
This system of EZ>ZirMed also does electronic posting back into EZ if you would like to do so.
EZ and ZirMed have both been very responsive. EZ was quick to implement suggestions that my biller had. When AC started exporting in Unicode, EZClaim sent out updates to the software within about a week so that they could read the Unicode.
We would be completely paperless from AC>EZ>ZirMed with remittance posting to EZ but for one thing. AC will not export the information as to how a patient paid (cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX) to EZ,, nor apparently to any other billing software. Therefore, we still have to fax paper super bills every day off-site to my biller, with patient type information on each sheet. I am hoping that many members of this community will implore AC to do so. It seems that they will have to eventually, for integration with their billing software of choice, and would be useful for any of the billing software with which AC currently integrates. in the meantime, if anyone has a workaround suggestion, I would appreciate it.
