I wonder if the Amazing Charts-NewCrop-Surescripts axis is considering this scenario: patient discharged from local hospital after MI with PTCA/stent on Plavix. The eRx fails but no notification to doctor (as over the recent holiday weekend). Patient told no Rx available, goes home to experience massive infarct from
platelet rebound. Would that be a worse medical error than poor handwriting? What would your average jury think?
Perhaps these entities should look at some extra servers, etc., rather than replacing the tobacco companies as the next golden goose for the plaintiffs bar.
