I know this has come up before, but any new ideas on this one . . .

As a consultant, I want my letters to accurately differentiate between the meds the patient came in on (Current Meds) versus those I prescribe.

I enter the patients Current meds (and check off "reconcilliation*) *Before* I prescribe any new meds. When I do, later in the visit, prescribe new meds, they initially remain under "Plan" and are not autotransfered. Yet somehow, when later completing the other fields, (such as using templates for HPI) the prescribed meds are sudenly & automatically copied from PLAN to CURRENT MEDS *before* the letter has been completed and sent, thus mixing them up in the eyes of the referring physician.

Any thoughts on stopping this auto-transfer until AFTER the letter has been signed off and printed ?
