Aarrrgghh... You guys are killing me with this good food and beer talk. I am on-call and behind on paperwork. I just barely had time to meet the family for buffet egg rolls and Szechuan Beef.

Coastal cuisine in my neck of the woods means heading south for Gumbo and Jambalaya. I've never had fresh lobster.

Now I'll admit that Heineken is pretty tasty, but a good friend from residency introduced me to Spaten, and after a long separation, I found it in a Wal-Mart SuperCenter -- in southwest Missouri, of all places -- just last week. I consider it to be one of the finest lagers in the world.

There's a case in my fridge right now, and there are a couple of vintage glass beer goblets in my freezer, which enhance the experience tremendously:

Well, it'll have to wait until tomorrow evening. (Of course, in residency, some unnamed persons had a "one beer" rule on call nights -- not me!!!)
