This will become clear to me when I go to "Reset Paths" on the old main computer. By this I mean, apparently I will be given a choice where to find the (new) main and can select it. My worry was if it's automatic it could select itself. Either that's not possible or you actually have command input at the "find" stage.
Anyway, thanks for all the input. This evening I'll go at it and report back.
