I assume the first step is to uninstall client AC from
this soon to be "main" and do a fresh install of AC
so that, using ryanjo's Wiki instructions, I can then
designate it as the new main, correct?
Correct, the new "main computer" has to have the full installation of SQL Express. The full installation means choosing "This will be the main computer" or "This computer will be taken off site..." at the start of installation.
I haven't tried this, but it may be possible to reinstall AC with the "main computer" setting
over an existing installation (I have noticed this is an option when upgrading from 5.024 to 5.026 for example). So you may want to try this first, before uninstalling AC and starting over.
