Final question
Regarding my "old" main computer remaining on the network as a client. Does Reset Paths give you the option of finding the main location on the network. If automatic can I assume the "old" main won't find itself, not that there's anything wrong with that, but rather "Reset Paths" commands it to only look elsewhere on the network.

There is something dramatically "wrong with that". You must point your new client computer to the new data base or you will be working off of 2 data bases. All your computers MUST be pointing to the same database!
