There are some questions that need answered:

1. Is the main installation of the AC on the notebook or do you have another "main" computer that the AC runs on? For example do you have server client set up where the main database resides on a main computer and you have other computers that point to it?

2. What version of AC are you using?

3. If you have a "Server" where the AC database in located, do you need to sync the information on the notebook back to main database? This is a critical question to answer because the approaches are different for transfering the main installation to another computer verses syncing the off site material with the main computer.

4. Do you want to still use both notebooks?


If you are not 100% comfortable doing this on your own and you have the AC tech support option you should contact them for help. This particular problem is why people purchase tech support contracts and they really are the experts at answering this question. There are plenty on people on the forum who are experts with this problem and will offer advice and direction. Certainly the forum members are more than happy to help answer your question (or any additional questions).
