Ah, I actually went back and read the thread and your post made sense. The way it displayed, it looked like you had just asked out of the blue.

Bert,
Don'y bother... Nancy has not paid dues to the AAFP in at least a year now. Although not quite as bad as the AMA, the AAFP still doesn't get it, as the old guard still is telling the present generation of starving or over-worked (whipped) FP's that they should do more free work and give more of their time, all while they are being soaked.

I would suggest joining IMP instead. There mostly really small groups who try to keep cost way down and provide a more personal quality care for their patients. This is most probably were you belong and fit in better. There and obviously here with us nut jobs....

This gentleman has a nice way to accomplish pre-registration of patients. They print the form, mail it to him, and then they are called for an appointment. And they have to send in a DEPOSIT!

Check it out.

OK, I am doing something wrong. After reading the site, it appears they are consultants. Dr. Podell only takes cash and makes $1100 for his three visit series. If in any combination, he does a three visit series in the morning and one in the afternoon (different patients, of course), he makes over $500,000 per year. (gross) They do help you with your insurance if you get stuck, but THAT is also a charge. Their advanced nurse practitioner gets $500 cash for her initial visit. She does accept Medicare.
