I agree with the software and the number of suites. How many immunizations do you enter by hand? I would probably stop vaccines if Maine forced us to enter them online as it is a very tedious process. Currently, the MAs can enter four vaccines in less than ten seconds.
Let me know if you are a FP or pediatrician, etc. I will also message you privately about some software ideas.

Well, I can get a referral letter to open in Word after saving it in text format, but the formating has the sentences and header in odd alignment. I can change the aligment, but that is more trouble than just typing it in Word to start with. That is lame to say the least. Am I doing something wrong?

Ron,
Saving it to a text file to convert it to Word is an exercise in futility. I think you just have to accept what we all have accepted for now: The letter writer is what it is. Hopefully, it will either be improved in Version 4.0 or possibly allow us to open it in Word.

You are not doing anything wrong. There is no easy way to get a letter from the Letter Writer into Word.

I did it, but then you couldn't edit it anyway. But, it was in Word.

But, I was able to print to Word. Cool! That way at least it could be printed again and look the same instead of HTML But, no different than printing to .pdf.

Bert gave me an idea -- I just came up with a Dragon NaturallySpeaking macro which will transport letter text to a Word document. It retains most of the formatting from the AC letter, and it is completely editable, but it is a Rube Goldberg affair to say the least. ![[Linked Image from i257.photobucket.com]](http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh220/bcmd_photo/RubeGoldberg.jpg)

I used ePrint. It was slightly Rube Goldbergish. But, even though you could edit, it was rather difficult. Boy, I wish AC was open source.

Well, I'm converting it from AC to PDF to text to Word, which eliminated the HTML formatting and made it editable. All this is too much if you're doing it manually, but Dragon makes it automatic. Still, Jon could do any number of things to make this an easier process.

Uh, like letting it open in Word instead of the native application?

Well, that would be ideal, yes...
