I used DNS for one year and when it worked with my work flow, it was awesome. It was $100 a month and auto-deducted from the company credit card. I wasn't using it enough at the time to make it worthwhile so it was a big decision to sign on for another year. You can't do month to month.
I had to get it through a 3rd party whose company only accepted the annual plan. I was wondering if there is only one way to purchase it or if others work with someone who allow month to month. It seems that after a year of paying on time, going to month to month would only be beneficial to them. They can turn it off whenever they wish especially the cloud version.

Since Nuance is not supporting the computer based Dragon anymore, they switched to Dragon Medical One. I had to get it through dictation.cloud. I am paying $99.00/month. It is cloud based so I can install it on any computer I use, because the speech files are in the cloud. All you need is an internet connection. I have been using them for more than a year and has had no glitches. I remember using a third party speech company to get me setup. I think their name was "Computers Made Effective". I mostly do dictation into Dragon Medical.

Thanks Raj,
I had a similar setup although more complicated due to having an RDS network. Grrrr.
I paid $99.00 a month. Worked excellently. The only issue is you couldn't skip through the sections without using the mouse. A third party guy named Nuyes (really nice -- good support) set it all up.
But, after one year, I didn't think I was using it enough to justify the $100. But, he wanted another annual contract. I asked for month to month which means after you have bought a microphone and shown you can pay on top (deductible from a CC), you would think they would still make money switching you to month to month. Basically, that is why I dropped it.
Do you know if your company would allow one to do month to month subscriptions?

Not sure. The billing is setup so the money is coming out automatically from my debit card. If I stop the transactions, I would not know what would happen; if I would be penalized if I would restart it later. The plan is NOT annual as far as I know, it is monthly.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. They take the money monthly, but you have to commit to a year.

As far as I know there is no commitment for a year. I am mostly happy with Dragon One Medical. Direct dictation into AC cannot be done when you are in the letter writer which is an annoyance. If I would have to rate DOM I would therefore give it an "9" on a scale of 1-10,
