I love the templates, don't get me wrong.
But does it bug anybody else how they jump around?
If you insert your cursor ABOVE of a block of text, and select a template, the lower block of text JUMPS UP to meet the top one, no matter how many spaces you left between them.
If you insert your cursor BELOW a block of text, it stays in place, but there's always that one annoying little space before the paragraph which you have to delete.
I can see this having value if you are threading lots of template sentences together into one monolithic, featureless block. I like paragraphs, and headings myself!
Would anybody be upset if templates just appeared wherever your cursor was placed when you selected them, and STAYED there?

You can't mean that your AC doesn't do this. You must mean that it doesn't bother you?

usually the templates go where I put them. Early on they would go the the end of the section, but it hasn't done that in a long time.

Select a template. Place your cursor at the beginning of the template and hit "Enter" a couple of times. Now move your cursor back to the top of the text field and select another template.
You're telling me your templates don't jump together?
Now move your cursor to the end of the resultant text mass, and hit "Enter" a couple more times. Now select another template.
You're telling me that your newest template doesn't start with a white space?

I see what you mean. I did notice it doesn't happen all the time and one of the reasons is that some of my templates have a couple of blank lines at the bottom of them. I remember doing this because of the problem but had forgotten about it.
Actually I initially misunderstood you because I thought you meant the new template went below the old one, even though you clicked on top.
So the solution is add white space to your templates. You can do this once you click by putting it in the box. Not all my templates are like this but is my solution.

Good workaround, Wendell! I am wondering if anyone actually utilizes this behavior and counts upon it. In other words, would anybody be broken-hearted if the templates were changed, such that they stay put when selected? Would anybody agree? Or does it bug anybody else?
