So AC Cloud will be migrating to Ctirix on Sunday April 18, 2021. Not sure if everyone is doing this or if our practice was unlucky enough to get selected. AC will be using Citrix Workspace to login to the cloud instead of the remote application. We were given a week to migrate.

We started migration on Sunday, April 11. The first computer to migrate was the home desktop. Worked fine until Tuesday 4pm? Out of the blue I get an "Citrix Workspace APP Error. The version of Citrix workspace does not support the selected encryption. Please contact your admin." Figure if we reboot it will go away. Did not work.

Wednesday, logged in again, same error. Hoping that overnight, AC does it magic and the errors goes away. Contacted AC support. Spend two hours. Nothing. Their solution was to create ANOTHER window user login and install Citrix again. That worked. So my desktop at home, my main admin window user account can no longer login to AC because of this error. The newly created secondary window user account can get into AC.

Thursday, April 4/15. We have a scheduled call to migrate the four office computers. All four worked initially. The process was to setup the Windows admin accounts with Citrix first on all four desktops. Everything when smoothly. Then we migrated and tested the non admin Windows accounts on all four desktop, worked smoothly. Until we started to test the last desktop for printing/scanning issues. It crashed so we rebooted. After the crash, the non admin account was given the same error. Solution again was to create another non admin account on the PC to get into AC. (We use non admin PC accounts so the front desk and other staff can not install other apps. Not sure if everyone does this? But we do.)

This solution will NOT fly in a larger practice. If the solution is to create a NEW user for "every" crash we are in trouble. We have two PCs in ONE practice, in ONE week with this issues. Good luck guys. We are in for a nightmare.

Sorry it was a long day and Im just venting....

The help desk and migration team were very helpful but I wish there was a better solution. This has to be resolved ASAP!!!!

Has anyone else migrated to Citrix?

Hi OfficeMgr,

Wow.

Just wow.

Our AC is locally hosted on an onsite server, so I have no experience with this. We had a major issue 10 years ago, that lasted 2 weeks, so I feel your pain.

Jimmie is in the cloud, perhaps he will respond.

I migrated a few months ago to Citrix, but only my nurse one of my front office gals and I use Citrix to access AC in the cloud. I have not had any issues, the transition went smoothly and sign on is quicker and has been very stable. I also sign in from home on an old laptop, which works well, so my set up only consists of a total of four different computers.

I agree with Jimmie that the login process is faster. Not sure about the "stable" part, as we still get the TWAIN errors when scanning. The positive side in regards to scanning, it looks like it no longer needs the Quest Remote Scan application anymore. A savings there. Im planning to cancel the Quest Remote Scan licenses in a few months.. Just want to wait and see.

Has anyone else experience the "twain" errors and is there a solution to that? For now I can live with this issue. But AC PLEASE FIX THE CITRIX ERROR!!! I hope they read this

OfficeMgr88,

My 10 year old fujitsu scanner went on the blink so I had to get a new one before we transitioned to citrix, got the Epson ES 400, i never use it but my nurse loves it, she says it works fantastic, we were having importing issues with the old scanner so had to upgrade and my IT guy took care of all the nuances of getting the new scanner going, so I am not up to speed on all of the intricacies of the scanner upgrade.

Citrix was first installed on 4/14/2021, today is 6/15/2021. I once again have a Citrix error. Today's error is "This version of Citrix workspace does not support selected encryption. Please contact your admin." Frustrating but expected. Will contact AC on tomorrow or Tuesday.

FYI, AC does monitor these chats.
