I am sure this has been discussed many times, but a search does not clear my mind. I used to have Crashplan backing my AC folder, now, to my surprise, I find that it is no longer backing up-even though it states that it is backing up but 0 MB!
I do have strong local backup- one internal spare disc, and two USB connected devices..But I would very much like to have an online backup.
Can I make some alteration in file format (and how) that will allow to backup to Crashplan. Or is there a better backup system?
Thank you all in advance.

How exactly are you backing up the .enc file to Crashplan? And, given you can back up AC's backup file to your internal disk and/or USB disks, can't you set it up where at least the folder you back up to backs online. It sounds like a path problem such as the backup not having permissions to Crashplan.

More information. Crashplan is not backing anything to the other discs either. So, my 3 local backups are all Amazing Charts's backups that I had originally set up. Because I excluded the Import items folder, I have no back up for that (except the internal drive which has a whole drive backup).
I am unsure what my option here is... either call Crashplan and see if they can find a way of backing up the AC files or another program anyone care to suggest.
Thanks for all the help.

There are multiple online backup sites that work well. Crashplan also works well. I suspect it is not configured correctly. I don't know what you mean by not backing anything to the other disks only.
A backup plan is usually 1 - 2 - 3
One in house Two take home Three offsite such as Crashplan
I am concerned that it seems as though your most important backup is on an internal drive, which is the worst place to put it. Your computer crashes, you can't access the backups. OK, to back up there, but backing up to some type of external drive, a hard drive preferably. When you say "whole drive" do you mean it is backing up the entire computer? That is good and is the most important backup.
Most people worry too much about the AC backup (necessary obviously but you have more on your computer such as billing, etc.)
I just wonder exactly how you are backing up the .enc file. Calling Crashplan would probably not show that it isn't working. They can remote in and see what is happening. The path, permissions, etc.
What backup program are you using to back up your whole computer? The other question is your main computer with the inside drive. Is that computer being used in the office as a work station as well?
