Thanks all.

Yes, Carl, that should work, I downloaded it to try. I am looking for a version compatible with Windows 8. I think 6.5 and up should be.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something?

The AC requirements page has listed Windows 7-8-10 as compatible for some time:

https://amazingcharts.com/system-requirements/

Are you getting error messages when trying to install a version of AC on Windows 8?

Possible fix for AC installation problems on Windows 8 suggested by Sandeep:

Other problems are also mentioned in that thread.

Carl,
I am perfectly happy using AC 6.3.3 on Win 7, it meets my needs. Indy was going to host for me to continue after support ends for Win 7 in January 2020. Sadly, now I need a different plan. So, I am going to upgrade my local Win 7 to Win 8 to buy a couple of years, and not have to use Win 10. AC 6.3.3 is not compatible with Win 8.

I am probably only going to practice a couple more years. So, I do not want to upgrade computers, peripherals, everything.

I like the freedom that versions below 9 afford, to install myself without having to be ?credentialed?, and without my data being collected.
