Hi everyone, just want to thank everyone for all your contribution to this helpful forum. Just wondering if I can ask regards to any practices experience with going through PCMH re certification with Amazing charts. I am a pediatrician in NYC and I just went through 2 year process to get my PCMH certification (after losing it during the 2020). It was a tremendously arduous and painful process, but was relieved to learn I was approved 1 month ago. I used agency to help me get certified but they are strongly pushing me to change EHR system due to the difficulty of pulling reports through Amazing Charts. Though I have my own issues with Amazing Charts, I have been an user of Amazing Charts >15 years and I know the system very well, prefer not to go through with this big transition for my office. I was wondering if anybody in the forum has gone through PCMH re certification with Amazing Charts successfully. I reached out to Amazing charts regards to my concerns including pulling up reports including med reconciliation report and they have told me reporting features for a fee from their side can be accomplished but I am a little hesitant because if it is not embedded in the system these quality measures if I am even properly recording these quality measures for re certification. Thank you again for everyone's help and it helps tremendously small practices like ours to have this community as a resource.

Sounds like you tried to do this through the NCQA - their thing is incredibly difficult. Newer, more expensive EMRs pay to precertify the EMR, so you don't have to do as much. Get the PCMH through the AAAHC. It does involve an inspection, but it is much easier.
