I am the IT administrator for a small family practice (just 1 provider). We recently got set up with a direct import with our primary lab group (lab corp). However, our practice has been open since 2007. Our doctor therefore, has been using the tracked data to track lab results and the like. Results that have been directly imported from an interface can be compared from the import screen but only to other labs that have been directly imported.
Our provider in order to get them into the tracked data has to print them out so he can put them under the tracked data where he has gotten accustomed to look for them and to easily see their past results. This seems really inefficient and really minimizes the positives of having this interface. Is there any way to transfer the results from the direct interface to the tracked data under summary that we have been using?
The reverse would also work for us if it exists (moving the data from tracked data to the past results that the direct interface uses.
It seems crazy that I can't set up some type of to let amazing charts know that any particular tracked results is the same as this (especially when they are often the same name IE: tsh). Anyone have any ideas to not force the provider to do it all manually?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need more information or anything to help you in assisting me, I would be happy to provide it

Need suggestions: How do you guys track labs, imaging and consults? My office has an Excel spreadsheet for labs and MAs make copies of orders and consult notes and have huge folders sitting around.
