Goal:
1.) Spreadsheet protected. Editable by solo physician but not by staff. Viewable and printable by all.
2.) Periodically memorializing an uneditable copy of spreadsheet at a point in time for the purpose of establishing its state at the time it was used to make a medical decision (for defensive medicine) while preserving an editable copy for ongoing updating.

Setup:
Peer to peer network, main computer and multiple "client" computers
Windows 10 professional on desktops, Windows 10 home on laptops
AC version 8.2.5
LibreOffice 4.4.5.2

Actions taken to date:
Reviewed all userboard posts on "spreadsheets" last 5 years.
Created spreadsheet.ods file format, imported to test patient chart.
Spreadsheet opens outside of AC in native LibreOffice window.
First attempt to view from a computer different than that on which created: opened read only. Thereafter opens fully editable on any computer and any user.
LibreOffice/Tools/ProtectDocument set password. However, behavior unchanged, when selecting from any computer any user opens without asking for password.
Once file opened, I can export to PDF saved to temporary location and import into AC if I wish to memorialize uneditable state at any time. Alternately I can cut and paste blocks of cells into a chart note section if I like.

Any ideas on how to make file so only I can edit it while staff can view it?

I already do this for many documents outside AC by setting folder and file permissions specific to users. However, I'm hesitant to do so for files in the AC/ImportedItems folder for fear of causing unknown behavior.

Thanks.
