Currently by default all the prescriptions are checked with an option to uncheck all and send individually. I have sent many prescriptions which should not have been renewed because of this default! Example: 10 Prescriptions to be renewed. Click and open. In the window, visible are one on top white, followed by a bunch of unchecked yellows. Below that are others in white which are checked by default. In a hurry, patient #1 needs renewal right now! Click renew. And, all the checked ones in white (which were hidden below) are renewed by default. WORSE: I HAVE NO WAY OF CHECKING/FINDING OUT WHO ELSE WAS RENEWED!

I don't use automatic prescription renewals but others in our user group mentioned the same issue. I don't think there is any way to avoid it as the program exists now, but it should be an easy fix if we can get the development people to agree. (The solution is to make the default NOT to send all). If you agree with that solution, please email AC or go through your program (on the mainscreen, go to Help...report a bug) and make that request.

You can easily check which ones were renewed by looking at the Prescription Status under e-prescribing.

I too have "accidentally" clicked send without reviewing each refill request.
Agree each individual refill request should default to "unchecked". Normally I love less clicks but in this case it is not so good.

In version 9.0 we introduce a new Rx "favorites" feature where the system maintains a list of how you prescribe each drug based on the complete SIG including the number of refills. So when you start typing in Lipit you will be presented with a drop down list of the different ways in which you prescribed Lipitor. In order of most frequent prescribed. If you swap back and forth between refills and no refills you'll have both options presented. One click and the script is prepped. When we first released this we ordered them alphabetically however based on feedback from our beta sites we've since changed that to display in order of frequency to accommodate that drugs with a large # of SIG variations.
Also..To Jons point above, please add the as a Recommended Improvement off the help screen in AC and we can start tracking requests. Honestly this is an easy one to fix but I don't recall ever seeing this as a request over the past 2 years, at least not in any volume.
