My partner and I are brand new to AC, and are just now starting to build templates for our pediatric practice. I know there are a few pediatric AC templates already available, but I am wondering if any pediatricians or family practice docs out there be willing to share their best, favorite, and most useful well child and common urgent care pediatric templates with us? We are really hoping to get through our busy days as quick as we can, with as little typing or slow-down as possible. I know template building takes time and is personal, so sharing the templates that you built and have worked really well for you would be a true generous act of colleagiality! Contact me through this site, or ask me for my personal email. Thank you!

I don't see a lot of kids, but I have made a few templates based on the Bright Futures developmental Milestones. It puts them in there with a plus sign next to them. I just go down the list and ask the questions (ex. can you kid stack 6 blocks etc) and if no then I change it to a - sign. If you'd like them let me know. They probably aren't nearly as robust as you'd like but it might be a good place to start.

By the way, I wonder when the milestones will come to reflect the use of tablets and phones instead of stacking blocks. smile Can your child get up to level three on fruit ninja?

There are a number of templates online that I have done. Some are in need of updating, but many are ready to go.

To access online templates, R click in a field and select import from Amazing Charts

This should take you to this page http://www.amazingcharts.com/phpBB2/XMLUpload/main.php (I have found occasionally it does not work directly from the program.)

Then look for the templates where the specialty is Pediatrics (or not) many of them may be mine.

I have talked to AC about the ability to clean up and update the templates. Some of them are duplicates and some are in need of modification. This you will have to do for yourself, but there are almost 900 total templates on the site.

Happy hunting. If you make a better one, upload it in a similar manner.
