I receive records requests from other physicians but they are only requesting records for a specific time line. Exp. 2013-2015. Mean time, our records go farther back than that. How do I print all records for only that time frame and include imports, again, only for that time frame?

I RIGHT click on the patient and choose PRINT NOTES and LETTERs then choose PRINT ALL and save it a PDF file. The I delete what I do not need and SAVE the file again.
I cannot comment on the Imported items as they are in a folder separate from Amazing charts.Maybe someone else on this board has a better idea. Hope this helps

There are a couple of ways to do this.
There is a program called PDFredirect that will allow you to collect multiple PDF prints into one. You can change order, you can put a password.

1) You can go to Past Encounters and print each one, then go to import items and print what you would like.
2) Go to summary sheet, reports and resources, summary sheet. Pick any or all dates. This has the advantage of giving you a summary of meds, problem lists, immunizations and such.
3) You could do transfer of care and include the import items. Then print preview.

In all cases print to PDFredirect, which stays in a window on the desktop. When you have included all that you want, you can rename it, add a password if you are emailing it, and print to PDF.

Hi Everyone.

There is an alternate way to print encounters by date range.

-From the main page, search the patient from the patient list.
-Highlight the patient (just click on the patients name once, do not double click to open the cart).
-Select the "Patient" option at the top of the screen.
-In the drop-down list, select "Print" towards the bottom of the list, then select "Print Encounters by date range".
-Fill out the HIPAA release and click "Save"

This will allow you to print out encounters by a range of dates. The only draw back is that you would still need to print imported items separately. If you wanted to save the encounters as a PDF, click the "Preview" button. On the preview screen, click the export button in the top left and change the file type from "Crystal Reports" to "PDF".

I hope this helps.

Mark,
Thanks for that approach.
What is your recommendation for how to include imported items when printing a chart?

Hi Jon,

The imported items tends to be where the process breaks down a lot. I have not found an efficient way yet to print imported items in bulk. There is an option to display the imported items in the process I described above, but the problem is they all open in their native programs and each in its own window. That means if you have 50 PDFs in that patient, then there will be 50 individual windows opening up. Now if they are imported labs from a lab interface, then that is different (and this is a bonus for having a lab interface). The imported labs will be included in the PDF with the notes. Just check the option for "Labs" and any imported lab results will be included in the PDF.

Scanned labs will unfortunately need to be printed separately.
