I'm running AC 6.6.5 one in the office, another instance on my laptop that I take to the nursing home and assisted living facility.
Due to the failure of database synching I maintain separate databases for each, both are running 6.6.5 and both have MalwareByte Pro installed, today I got a warning on laptop from MWBytes that there is a Trojan in AC, yet scan on office computer did not identify a Trojan.
I choose to ignore the Trojan warning but find it peculiar it is only in one instance of AC 6.6.5 not both therefore not a program component that MWBytes 'thinks' is a Trojan.
Any thoughts? Anyone have hx of Trojans infecting their AC?

Dear Koby,

The Malwarebytes warning that AC is infected is probably just a false positive, possibly triggered by running an AC routine that Malwarebytes considered suspicious, given the laptop's environment.

But "probably" isn't very reassuring.

For peace of mind, download and run some other free antivirus scan, such as AVG or Avira. If that scan comes up clean, you can easily uninstall it (or use it instead of MalwareBytes).

This page offers the 32 or 64 bit free version of AVG:

Here's the free version of Avira:

Think of it as getting a second opinion.

Cheers,

Carl Fogel

Thanks Carl
I am the paranoid type, have Spybot and Norton 360 on the laptop and they are coming up (-)
Will claim 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
