I have been asking for the Epocrates link to be fixed in the prescription area. I don' t need a sales page, I need my link to Epocrates. Is this no longer "our problem" because Athena owns Epocrates?
Why can inactive charts have labs and messages Imported? The chart is inactive as it is a duplicate.
When I am a reviewing imported labs, why is it that I can only see, last visits , upcoming visits on a pt (bottom left) when "all patients" is checked?
Support is becoming more and more frustrating to deal with.
Updox is on my system, what am I supposed to do with it. Why did I have to pay my IT guy to get involved in the install?
Why can I not get a straight answer on upgrades? When will they be stable enough to actually install and use?
It's 2014, when will there be a portable app?
Like ,Vince Lombardi said "What the hell is going on around here?".
AC, enhance the patient experience and my ability to take care of my patients, don't disrupt it!!!

Inactive chart - duplicates - solution is to open chart under demographics page and go to FILE - then merge chart. You can then merge 2 charts together. This will hopefully make it no longer import things.

Frank, when I click drug information...epocrates on line... it takes me here. Does it not do that for you? What version are you using?

Frank,
It would be EXTREMELY helpful if after you click on Jon's link or eponcrates online, no matter where it takes you, copy and paste the address here.

Frank, are you using I.E. or what browser. If I.E., just for fun, go to Tools, Internet Options, select the Security tab, then the trusted sites and add the URL to it from the correct site. Not sure if that will help or not.

It could also be a browser hijacker. This would be a virus. Several ways to test this.
First, make a different browser such as Firefox your default browser, then click on the link. See where it goes. If it goes to the right site, then you likely have your answer.
I would also run MBAM. Google it. It's designed to look for viruses. Of course, you can run a bunch of them. Or run them from sites like McAfee. (Don't install McAfee)! But, they have a good scanner from the web.
Again, a good reason to run it from home. It would seem as though the virus wouldn't be on a different computer.
But, this would be a good place to start in case it is your problem, because you would want to get rid of the virus. Internet Explorer would be the most likely browser to be affected.
Just a thought.

Last suggestions: 1. Uninstall all browsers except I.E. (Easy to reinstall the others and I.E. is not so simple to uninstall. 2. Go Tools > Add Ons > Look in Toolbars and extensions and Search Providers and remove those not needed. There are other more benign settings there as well. 3. Go to Programs and Features and uninstall all programs that appear to be spyware or not needed such as Ask... or whatever 4. Download www.superantispyware.com (free version), run and remove all results. You may get a lot of PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs). Those would be key to remove. 5. Download www.malwarebytes.com (free version), run and remove all results. 6. Download ccleaner (free version), run the defaults and remove all results (may free up quite a bit of space -- even 3 GBs or so), choose to delete all results. See how it works then. There is malware that will redirect sites to other sites such as sales sites. This could be the case here.

actually we use the paid edition of malware daily. Didn't change anything, but thanks for the effort. I will play with this issue this week.

Bert,
My PC's browser got hijacked this past week. I ran the programs you suggested and found all sorts of junk that needed to be removed. Thanks.

Glad it worked. It's really a shame. I used to download without thinking from CNET, now you have to watch every window to keep from downloading spyware, adware, etc. Definitely have to run the custom download.
