I would like to see a request to provider for refills done by going to summary, clicking on the drug requested and a box saying requesting refill, a place for the pharmacy to be written in in case it has changed and then send. Currently we have to send a message written out in text. yes, we do ask pts to call their pharmacy, but there are always those situations. It is very cumberson and could be done with the click of a button.

At ACUC, the staff was saying that multiple pharmacies can be stored in the next version of AC (version 8). As far as refill requests, my staff just sends me a quick one liner message ex: "refill request atenolol to rite aid" when I get the message I just click the refill button on the message which takes you to the script writer and process the script, at the end, I just save the message with the newly added prescription information to the chart. the refill gets logged in the past encounters as a message and in the prescription history which can be seen from the script writer.

Ticia,

Do you have the refills done electronically in Amazing Charts?
