We have been using an in-house coder and biller for many years, but our current employee is leaving for school, and we are not having much luck finding a replacement. My exposure to outsourcing years ago was not a happy one. I have totally lost touch with available billing services. Could I get an idea from the group which services seem to do a good job for primary care if we have to go that route? We are not Medicare/Medicaid providers with very few contracts but a fair number of private pay arrangements, so I would be especially interested in any experience with the ability of a service to handle flexible payment arrangements.
