I have 2 issues with Dragon Medical that drive me crazy.

Is there any way to turn off the voice commands? I hate dictating and suddenly out of nowhere something happens with an unintended command.

The other thing that slows me down incessantly, is the darn dragon bar at the top of the screen, in the way all the time, so that I have to tap on the right side of the bar to move the bar up so I can complete my task.

Is there a way to get rid of the dragon bar so it is not in the way????

I wish there was an alternative to Dragon, I do not need all the commands and fancy crap that comes with it. I hope someone puts together a streamlined voice activated medical software product that works. I would buy it yesterday and gladly get rid of Dragon Medical in a heartbeat.

1. On the Dragon bar, go to "Modes" and click "dictation mode". I think that turns off the commands.

2. Go to the Dragon icon in the task bar, right click, and choose "options". On the "view" tab, select "tray icon only" and you never see the bar. Alternatively, you can just minimize it when it is in the way.

Jon,

Thanks, I am going to try this tomorrow, and if that works, I rescind my earlier frustrated comment. wink
