Is there any way to add an external provider (PCP, other specialist) on labs that I order with Amazing Charts? Our referring doc's are used to getting copied, and I don't see that it's possible to do with AC...

thanks

Sandra, can you explain a little more what you are trying to do.
The pt is seen and the doctor orders labs. You want the referring doc to know what you ordered? Doesn't that appear in the plan section of the note?

Hi Jon,
I'd like the lab to copy the PCP on the lab results automatically, so I don't have to remember to send them along once I've seen and reviewed them.

You could use the "Quick add" in the orders section to create an order "Send copy to".
Put the name of the other provider in the column on the right. Remember to click that last when you are doing the orders and it will show up at the bottom of the list.
Not perfect- the name will show up in parenthesis- but it may do what you want.

I added an order line item to the lab orders -- "send copy to:" and enter the name in the free entry column

Have made a request for this amongst other requests at the Ac Primed in Fort Lauderdale
Spoke with Mr Squire and Christine, Director of production and sent them a list of recommendations.
Also discussed with Mr Squire about the spellchecker and forwarded my prior posts from the forum about the spellcheck for mixedCap letters
Hopeful to see these changes upcoming in updates
