Hello Everyone,

Unfortunately it appears NewCrop is having connectivity issues today.
We are getting reports from every region.
Amazing Charts would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

We have made contact with NewCrop and are awaiting a response.
I will post an update as soon I hear from NewCrop with an update.

Thank you,
Anthony@AC

Hello everybody,

We have received information from our e-Prescribing vendor, NewCrop, that the e-Prescribing issue has been resolved. Here is the word from NewCrop:

NewCrop Partners,

We have identified the source of the timeout errors that were impacting some users. These errors occurred due to a high traffic load combined with a database backup failure.
Performance has been restored to standard levels.
Thank you,
NewCrop Technical Support

That's hilarious John.

Maybe NewCrop should instead say: "Performance has been restored to sub-standard levels."

What causes a high traffic load? Influenza leading to Tamiflu? prescriptions. Every patient swearing they have bronchitis leading to an overwhelming amount of Z-packs?

And, why are we thanking them?

It's still a problem today. I continue to get "The underlying connection was closed: The connection was closed unexpectedly" error.

Alright, well we have hit the tipping point where we will be providing an opt-in text alert list to send out status updates on 3rd party services.

eRX is down, Updox is intermittent, and we're getting tired of our phones lighting up when other people's crap is broken.

[a little testy right now]

PM or text us if you want added to the list.

Indy, when you say "opt-in"... does that mean you will send out texts on the days the systems are working? That might be more efficient.

EastRider, please let us know what he says.

He is reading this post. I would like this info to be posted here. If they can not or dont't want to put pressure, we might try. They are located in Napa, CA. I used to live nearby. I still have some contacts there, including local station NBC producer.

Hello everybody,

It seems that NewCrop was having server issues again today
We have received information from NewCrop, that the e-Prescribing issue is getting resolved. Here is the word from NewCrop:

NewCrop Partners,

NewCrop Partners,

We have recycled the database server and speeds are steadily increasing as data is cached. We will continue to monitor performance throughout the day. Users may still experience some slowness until caching is complete.

Thank You,

The NewCrop Team

I suggest arranging a visit by someone from the Obamacare death panels.

I know some guys who do 'remediation' who used to work out of Coronado; they do great work, very low key, almost silent.

I would rather be the bearer of glad tidings; maybe go out at sunrise every day and do a sky-reading.

"Greetings! There are no clouds this morning, but I saw hawk diving at prairie dogs - this is a bad omen."

Seriously, though, how can AC continue tolerate this from NEWCROP in this day and age of competition. I think that the Obama administration must be taking lessons on how to be evasive when a website crashes from NewCrap.

I have a lot of patience. But this is getting on my nerve. This is a holiday, you would think that there should be less Rx traffic and this "sometimes working" situation is still occurring. What is the "excuse" this time?

I am wondering if we need to start setting Clients with the free eRX service from AllScripts as a business continuity option.

I have this work around that my grandchildren call doctor papers. I carry a pad in my shirt pocket with a pen, so every time I see them, they want to draw something on my doctor papers.

Some of my patients love their prescriptions with artwork included.

Anyway, AC has to be professional grade. It has to work, period.

Seeing a patient is like a three ring circus, trying to meet all the requirements and actually help the patient in that time window. AC has to be like the lights. Working and dependable.

I hope the PM is more like Updox than NewCrop, and Updox is not as reliable as desired.

Hasn't been down for me but does seem slow from time I click send Rx till it gets done, just another 5-10 seconds of me watching a computer screen.
My bigger complaint is with refills when refill requests come in from pharmacy unless everything in AC ie patient name, middle initials, drug name, dosing units match exactly what the pharmacy sends the Rx cannot get approved/matched so a useless viewing of info except the information somebody needs an Rx.
Why can't an option box pop giving list of patients in AC and thier med list to choose then match 'close enough' so that in a couple of clicks it is all done???

Because it would require a modern software code and everything they do is outdated.

and now a new problem--> go to send an eRx patients address zip code different than requested pharmacy zipcode, enter pharmacy zip code into appropriate field and no pharmacies come up to choose despite 5 known pharmacies in that zip code and previously this method always worked damn
