OK, I attested in Feb for 2012. What are people finding as far as how long it takes for our wonderful CMS to pay the 12K?

CMS should have paid within 2 months. You should go back to the website and check the status.

Lucky that you got it in before April 1. The sequester cuts affect our STIMULUS.

got it by the skin of my teeth. I have concern there will not be another one. Is it wrong to not trust your own government?

Nate Not only is it right not to trust the feds, it's smart not to.

I attested in Feb. Money came yesterday. $12K I'm not sure I'm going to stick around for the rest though; MU-2 is just too onerous. There is no way I'm going to teach a bunch of geriatric patientes to "interact with their medical record." I would have to put on a couple of full time people to answer the questions and make house calls.

6 weeks for me. We are going to hand our patients a tablet to look up their chart before they leave the office..

That's a good idea. For MU, it doesn't matter if they don't ever do it again after they go home.

I did it the first time, but that's it. 12K is 6K after taxes and they have unleashed their 3rd party auditors against those who go the stimulus. It makes you a target. Stage 2 is joke. The feds are completely out of touch with reality: my patients don't even want their height and weight checked each visit, let along these other requirements that have nothing to do with the visit. When will we, as professional, just say no?
